In this spotlight, we feature Doris Knepp, a case manager with an extensive background in the legal field. With more than 40 years of experience as a paralegal, Doris brings a wealth of knowledge, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to client service to her role at IMS Legal Strategies | Juris Medicus.
Below, Doris shares what she loves most about case management, the strengths she applies to support those around her, and why IMS | JM stands out as a company that values collaboration, excellence, and a strong sense of family.
Q: How did you get into this industry and find IMS | JM?
A: I started working as a legal secretary at my uncle’s criminal defense firm at 16 and fell in love with the legal field. I was a paralegal for 43 years and met so many amazing people along the way. A former co-worker recommended IMS | JM to me. I submitted my resume, was hired, and now feel like I found my forever work home here.
Q: What do you like most about your specific department and/or role?
A: The case management department is a unique group of people who work well together and make work life enjoyable. Our director and supervisors are supportive, and the entire department works together to get things accomplished.
Q: What special strengths and unique skills do you offer clients and colleagues?
A: My unique role with my case files is to be a second set of eyes for our clients and their deadlines. My clients know that they have a safety net with me, which they value, and they continue to send files to me as their case manager.
Q: Would you like to share any stories, memories, or accomplishments?
A: I think it speaks volumes of the quality and dedication that our clients continue to send files because they know that we will take care of them. Many clients have become friends, and it has been truly enjoyable to work with all of them.

Q: Do you have any predictions or comments on industry trends?
A: Reflecting our clients’ increased need for independent medical expert opinions, 2025 has started off as an outstanding and record-breaking year for the IMS | JM case management team. I look forward to seeing what the year holds as our medical expert witness services continue to expand nationwide to help our clients meet growing case demands.
