In this edition, we introduce Lisa Hemenway, our dynamic IMS | Juris Medicus Accounting Manager. With a robust background in healthcare and a passion for collaborative success, Lisa exemplifies the dedication and commitment that drive our company forward. Join us as we explore Lisa’s background, her favorite moments, and her thoughts on what makes IMS |JM a standout in the medical expert industry.
Q: How did you get into this industry and how did you find IMS | JM?
A: I have more than 20 years of healthcare experience, mainly in the outpatient surgery center business. I thought the medical-legal industry would be an exciting opportunity to use that experience and continue learning. I relocated to San Antonio from the Dallas area and was grateful to find the position at IMS | Juris Medicus.
Q: What do you like most about your specific department and/or role?
A: We all work very well together to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and medical experts. We constantly streamline or improve processes to enable our department to meet important deadlines.
Q: What internal accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: I am always happy when we meet or exceed our monthly goals, both on behalf of our team as well as what it means for our clients and experts.
Q: Are there any stories/memories you would like to share?
A: Some of my favorite memories are of weekly lunches and birthday celebrations when we were a small group of less than 25 employees. I have enjoyed working with the core team and watching the company grow.
Q: What do you think sets IMS |JM apart from competitors or other companies?
A: Our “high touch” customer service sets us apart from our competitors. We aim to deliver the highest customer service to our law firm clients and medical experts.
Q: How do the IMS | JM core values align with your own?
A: I strive to honor the relationships in my professional and personal life by treating people with respect and learning from one another. We all have unique experiences and talents that we bring to the workplace and our personal lives, enabling us to succeed as a team.
Q: If you were an attorney-client (or an expert witness), what would you find most valuable about the process at IMS |JM?
A: Delivering our core values is what encourages our clients to return and what helps us build new business. Our experts are allowed to focus on their work without worrying about the details that we handle for them.
We are continuing to grow and expand into new states, which is driven by our commitment to providing exceptional support to attorneys and experts along with our ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the legal community. As we establish partnerships with more law firms and consultants across various regions, we will enhance our network and diversify our service offerings even more.
